On the 26th of January 2023 Churchill Support Services were honoured to be asked to provide security support for the visit of King Charles III on his tour of The Africa Centre’s recently opened headquarters in Southwark, London.
Working closely with individuals, communities and organisations, The Africa Centre are a UK-registered charity formed in 1961. Their mission is to create and promote authentic African cultural experiences through spaces and platforms encouraging creative expression, social interaction, cultural exchange, learning, entrepreneurship, and innovation.
Churchill Support Services have worked with The Africa Centre since June 2022, providing them with key holding, alarm response and guarding services.
Our team headed up by our Operations Director Andy Farley and Head of Operations Liam O’Connor had full access to all areas to support the client with this prestigious event. This included greeting customers, police liaison, controlling access and egress and validation of appropriate identification whilst ensuring that members of the public and the numerous international dignitaries were kept safe throughout the day.

Our Senior Operations Manager Scott Russell has worked very hard behind the scenes to ensure service levels were maintained and appropriate plans were in place.
