About This Role:

As one of the UK’s biggest and brightest providers of high-quality security services, Churchill Support Services are always looking for the next professional to join our expanding team. We’d love that to be you! This vacancy is for a security officer in the Northwest, which is where Churchill’s headquarters are based. This will be based on one of our sites across the region, but you may be required to go to another site if we require it, or if the security requirements change. You’ll find out about this in advance, however.

As part of your role, you’ll need to:

• Manage and keep track of everyone who accesses the premises
• Ensure the safety and security of all customers and staff
• Work with clients, customers and colleagues to maintain consistent security across the site
• Oversee the safe running of the premises
• Respond quickly and effectively to any and all site incidents
• Patrol the site regularly, ensuring the site’s perimeter is secure
• Contribute as a team member to ensure a positive customer experience
• Have a friendly and professional demeanour

With constant support from our in-house experts, you’ll be able to succeed in all the roles you’re completing and feel part of the close-knit team we have here at Churchill.

What We’re Looking For:

With this role being in a security field, there are certain things we’re looking for in our applicants. We’d expect you to:

• Have a valid SIA licence (SG licence or DS licence)
• Have your own transport
• Be reliable, with excellent timekeeping skills
• Be able to adapt and respond to changing situations
• Have good communication skills, both verbally and written
• Be able to work effectively alone or as part of a team

These are the basics we expect our applicants to have. If you’re really looking to stand out from the crowd, our perfect candidate would also:

• Have some previous experience working as a security officer
• Have good computer skills, particularly with scheduling software and Microsoft Office
• Be experienced in liaising with shareholders and higher-ups
• Have experience in dealing with emergency situations, and working with emergency services
