About the client:

Our client is a Greater London based environmental and poverty relief charity focused on reducing textile waste and promoting sustainable fashion practices. Their main activities include collecting, recycling, and selling second-hand clothes through charity shops. By doing this, they help reduce the amount of clothing sent to landfills and encourage the reuse of textiles.

The funds raised through these activities are directed towards global development projects aimed at improving conditions for textile workers and promoting sustainable agriculture. For example, our client supports organic cotton farming in countries like Benin and Ethiopia and works on initiatives to prevent child labor in textile-producing communities. Additionally, they run education programs to raise awareness about sustainable fashion and global poverty.

Our client also offers textile recycling services and advocates for reducing the environmental footprint of fashion, urging people to donate unwanted clothes and purchase second-hand items instead of new ones.

Shift patterns variable to;

* 8 hour shifts (Monday – Saturday)

* 6 hour shifts (Sundays)

Duties and Responsibilities of a Security Officer:

• Detailed Report Writing.
• Maintain a Safe environment for Customers and Staff.
• Deter all Criminal Activity and theft of Store Property
• Display excellent customer service skills
• Provide a safe and secure environment for staff and customers
• Responding to client emergencies
• Liaise with the police and local crime reduction agencies, if required
• Providing reports as necessary
• Complete daily checks

Requirements:

• A valid SIA Front Line Licence is essential.
• Previous experience in a similar security role is desired but not essential; training will be provided.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to handle challenging situations calmly and professionally.
• Strong observational skills and attention to detail, ensuring all security protocols are followed.
• A proactive and vigilant approach to security, with the ability to assess and respond to potential risks.
• A professional and customer-oriented mindset, dedicated to delivering exceptional service.
